Be a Voice of Parents to the NYC Ed Tech Community!

Passing along on behalf of the New York Ed Tech Meetup

The New York Ed Tech Meetup Community (http://www.meetup.com/nyedtech) is a group of over 2500 educators, technologists and entrepreneurs who meet monthly to discuss technology that supports good pedagogy, as well as education trends and policy that impact technology adoption in education.  Our community has heard the perspective of teachers and administrators and entrepreneurs who are trying to provide innovation in education, but we haven’t had a chance to hear from parents.  Well, we hope to change that!

For our next meetup on 9/25 at 7pm at Microsoft in midtown Manhattan, we’re looking for parents to participate as panelists in our panel discussion titled “Parental engagement required; an EdTech conversation outside the school”.  We want our parent panelists to participate in a moderated discussion where they share their views and give the ed tech community their guidance on how technology can and should help their child and schools.  So if you’re willing to enlighten a friendly, engaged edtech crowd with your perspective, please contact Sharon LaDay at svladay@gmail.com / 646-656-0556.
